The 24th TANA Convention team is delighted to announce that 2025 “Dhim TANA Group Dancing” preliminary (local) competitions will be held across several cities in North America from March through June.
The team will be collaborating with TV9 and other channels to promote and telecast all our competitions held throughout North America.
The local finalists will get an opportunity to compete in the National competition held in Detroit during the 24th TANA Convention on July 3rd, 4th, 5th 2025.
July 3rd is the cut off date to determine age of participant in their respective categories.
Winner and 1st Runner will enter the finals in Detroit with a Free 24th TANA convention ticket (free ticket is for the winner and 1st Runner only). If Winner and 1st Runner cannot make it to finals in Detroit for any reason, then 2nd winner can enter to finals.
Note: TANA convention ticket is only for the Winner and 1st runner (not for other family members/siblings).
The limitation of number of participants in each group is minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 participants for Classical, Folk and Film dance (Telugu Language only).
Please submit the entry in the category based on the highest age of the participants in the group. Please note older age kids cannot participate in the younger age groups.
Participants can participate in different age groups, junior participants may perform in senior groups. However senior participants cannot perform in junior groups.
For example: Sub- Junior participants may perform in a junior group. However junior participants cannot perform in sub-junior groups, Junior participants may perform in senior groups. However senior participants cannot perform in junior groups.
July 3rd is the date to determine the age of participants for their respective group.
Final determination of the age group will be made by organizers in case of any confusion. (Please bring in proof of age for determination)
Yes, a participant may perform in multiple categories. Separate registration is needed for each category. A participant may perform only once in a specific category.

Strict time limit will be enforced. Each folk/filmy category will have maximum 5 mins to perform and Classical will have maximum 7 mins to perform.

No, TANA membership is not required to participate in the competitions
No, all performances will be judged live during the competitions
To encourage Telugu culture, we would like to have a minimum of 50% of the participants from Telugu speaking/origin.
There is special scoring for stage costume, props, appearance and presentation
